PPGA 2024 CONFERENCE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

The following Terms & Conditions (the “Terms & Conditions”) applies to Pet Professional Guild Australia (PPGA) Annual Conference 2024 Registration. Prior to your registration, you MUST acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions contained herein.

Registrations & Attendance

Delegates are unable to split a full conference registration. Sharing of a registration is not permitted and a single registration cannot be used by more than one person. Only registered delegates will be guaranteed access to the event.

Registration Inclusions

Each registration category specifies what is included for the category. All other costs associated with your participation shall be borne solely by you.

Conference Updates

All information for participants will be sent electronically to the email address that is provided at the time of registration.

Video/Audio Taping and Photography Policies in Session Rooms

By registering for this event, you consent to having your photo and/or video taken and used for promotional purposes, which may include social media, websites, and email marketing. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please advise marketing@ppgaustralia.net.au or contact a conference volunteer at the event. PPGA reserves all video/audio taping and photography rights at this conference. No delegate video or audio taping is permitted in session and workshop rooms. An attendee is permitted to use hand-held cameras and/or smart phones to take photographs and capture digital images for personal, non-commercial use, provided the photography is not disruptive. Photographs may not be published, sold, reproduced, transmitted, distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever.

Conference Cancellation Policies

Should your circumstances change, and you are unable to attend the conference, you must contact us at marketing@ppgaustralia.net.au as soon as possible to arrange a refund or a delegation substitution.

In accordance with the above policy, cancellations made:

  • On or before 31st May 2024 will be eligible for a full refund
  • Between 1st June 2024 and the 13th of June 2024 will be eligible for a full refund less cancelation fee (10% of the total registration cost)
  • On or after 14th June 2024 will not receive a refund, however, delegate substitution is possible
  • Please remember that cancelling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel reservation and travel arrangements. Individuals are responsible for cancelling their own hotel and travel reservations.

Notice About Speakers

Opinions expressed by speakers at the event are their own opinions and do not necessarily represent the view or opinions of the PPGA.  PPGA does not provide technical, software, legal, accounting, tax or other professional services or advice, nor does PPGA endorse the accuracy of any opinions or information expressed or provided by speakers at the event.

Intellectual Property & Posting Content to Social Media

All materials, including but not limited to presentations, slides, posters, abstracts, papers, and any other written or visual content presented at the event, are the intellectual property of PPGA or the respective authors and presenters. The authors or presenters retain the ownership rights to their materials.

Participants may not reproduce the event content and materials distributed at or in connection with the event for any reason without the prior written permission of PPGA or content author.

Cancellation or Postponement of the event

We do not accept any liability for losses incurred, such as but not limited to travel, hotels, or any other expenses, if the onsite event is cancelled or postponed due to an occurrence that renders performance of the event inadvisable, illegal, impracticable or impossible. Such an occurrence shall include but shall not be limited to: an Act of God; infectious disease outbreak, industrial disruptions, service provider failures, governmental restrictions and/or regulations; war or apparent act of war; terrorism or apparent act of terrorism; disaster; civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots; curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction on transportation; or any other emergency.

Technical Disruptions to Presentations

We reserve the right to change presentation times, days and formats due to technical disruptions, such as audio-visual equipment failures, technician errors, software failures, internet outages, power outages, and the like. Where a technical disruption causes a temporary, partial, or complete failure to deliver and broadcast presentations, we will notify you as soon as possible and advise alternative arrangements for you to view the affected presentations. This may include changing the times, days and format, such as a pre-recorded versus a live presentation. If a technical disruption occurs, you will not be eligible for a refund if we change the times, days and format of any or all presentations.

COVID-19

The event will take place in accordance with federal government, state government and venue COVID-19 safety guidelines and protocols. We will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for all participants. By participating in the event in-person, you acknowledge there is a risk of contracting COVID-19 at the event and we are not responsible for any transmission at the event. Participants are required to abide by all health protocols at the venue. Any delegates, feeling unwell or displaying COVID-19 like symptoms should not attend the venue.

Event Conduct & Safety

PPGA is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment to all participants, including staff and vendors, at PPGA events. PPGA has no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form at PPGA events. Participants are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others. 

What To Do If You Witness or are Subjected to Unacceptable Behaviour:  Participants should report any behaviour inconsistent with these principles to our event volunteers. You may also contact PPGA directly to report a concern at marketing@ppgaustralia.net.au

General

PPGA reserves the right to change, amend, add or remove any of the above Terms & Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all event participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors).
