ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Un-Chase!® - In Action!
Friday 14th June, 9:30am to 12:30pm

Cyclists, cars, cats, chickens, possums, rabbits, vacuum cleaners, brooms, wheelie bins, livestock, kangaroos – the list of chase triggers can be long!

Whether you serve clients in a busy urban or suburban environment where dogs enjoy chasing skateboards, joggers, bicycles and cars or a rural setting where chase targets include kangaroos and livestock, dogs can get themselves in a lot of trouble giving in to the natural impulse to go after things that move. The typical solutions are often frustrating and disappointing to clients and trainers alike – but no longer! Come and see Alexis Davison’s Un-Chase!® program in action and go home with new tools to help your clients build calmness in the face of chase triggers. This practical, hands-on presentation will demonstrate Un-Chase!® techniques. You’ll learn how to set clients up for success, teach key alternate behaviours, build calmness, and change chase triggers to cues.

Key learning objectives:

    1. Understand the principles of the Un-Chase!® program: participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Un-Chase!® program, including its underlying principles and methodology for addressing and managing chase triggers for dogs.
    2. Gain practical application techniques: attendees will learn practical, hands-on techniques for implementing the Un-Chase!® program in their own training sessions.
    3. Enhance client and trainer satisfaction; participants will discover how to effectively apply Un-Chase!® techniques to address chase behaviours, leading to improved client satisfaction and increased success rates in training outcomes.
