Happy Dog Project strongly advocates for a Force-Free, Fear-Free and science-based approach to dog training. Dog training has come a long way since the days of punishment training and the dominance theory. We now approach dog training in a holistic manner to ensure dogs’ needs are met with healthy, safe and non-problematic outlets. We approach training a dog by showing the dog what to do and making it more reinforcing than what we don’t want them to do.
We stand by the Pets Professional Guild of Australia position statements against shock collars, choke chains and punishment based training.
